Today, all i’ve wanted to do is be in Cape Town and eat sout vlies with freshly baked rolls and eat melt- in- your- mouth doughnuts covered in warm sticky syrup. Drink fanta grape and snack on cheap spookies. Walk along the sea front, parade up and down bo- kaap, take in all the beautiful colours and sights, walk through the parade, watch the sunset from signal hill, hang with my cousins, ride on the back of a bakkie (pick-up truck), have laughs with my aunts and uncles, see my grandma’s, spend time with my fiance, spend time with my family … and well… just enjoy life really. If there was ever a time where I was ecstatic or, had to describe a perfect day, it would be the things i’ve just mentioned. 

… That’s the time right now. I even saw the minute change on my desktop. Today has been a good day. It’s my daddy’s 57th birthday and also the last birthday I spend with him before I move to Cape Town. Sad times for sure! It was lovely though. We had a braai (BBQ) I marinated the some prawns and my sister put them on to skewers. I also marinated chops and chicken. We braai’d wors and sausage too (pics to follow soon!) It was so delicious. I feel like I can do anything now hahah! Mad skills right there! I am currently studying for my final Land Law exam which over the past few days; I have come to despise. So. I thought i’d take a break and do some tumblr’ing…. you know… as you do when you procrastinate… Last night over dinner we discussed my wedding, the preparations etc… so far everything is on par. However, we are having great difficulty deciding on caterers. It’s so hard being so far away. Plus, theres the added stress of choosing a menu that isn’t similar to my fiancées lunch menu. We can’t serve the same thing now can we. Also, I need to order my favors. I have such cute favors :) I can’t wait for people to see them! In other news… My mom in-law to be is stressing over the house as the plans have not come back from the council so building works are at a halt. I have absolutely no idea what the house is going to look like. Its all a big secret and I will only see it on the day. Needless to say… I am very anxious, albeit excited. It’s such a daunting process but I know Muneer will make great choices for our new home! He was talking about having an entertainment area in the future… I love the way he thinks! The poor guy probably gets so annoyed with my nagging and constant questions about the house and plans on his side. But, what else am I supposed to do!!! Come Wednesday evening, i’ll be enjoying all my free time. I cannot wait! Then, I can tick off Undergrad studies from my bucket list. Next up, work till October, Leave in November, Get married, go on honeymoon and basically start a whole new chapter of my life! I’m pretty excited! So much is happening in my life right now and I am enjoying every bit of it!
